The Duet uses a 1.1" (28mm) silk dome tweeter. The tweeter uses ferrofluid for cooling as well as advanced hexagonal shaped voice coil wire to help dissipate heat and handle high power. The 6-½" specially treated paper cone woofer is vented out the back of the motor system to open up the sound. The 3" (75mm) voice coil of the woofer uses the same technology as the tweeter. The rigid cabinet is angled to produce greater depth and precise imaging. The front edges of the cabinet are of a radius design (rounded) to help eliminate
diffraction in the mid and high
frequencies.
